If you are interested in this rewarding work for God’s Kingdom, contact the Church Office. USHER Serving as an usher is a great way to get to know people at Peace Lutheran Church. Each team of ushers serves for a month at a time. If you are interested, please contact the Church Office. ALTAR GUILD A great way to serve the Lord is by preparing the Sanctuary each Sunday morning with Flowers, Candles, Paraments and Communion ware. If you are interested, please contact the Church Office.
SOUND AND LIGHT TEAM This is a ministry responsible for operating the sound, lights and recording equipment. This is important so that the technology can be used as an aid in delivering the Word of God with no distortion in receiving the Word. If you are interested, please contact the Church Office. FLOWER MINISTRY After Sunday service, the flowers on the Altar are taken to our members who are sick or are shut-ins and cannot attend church. This can be a very rewarding way to serve the Lord. If you are interested, please contact the Church Office. WELCOMING MINISTRY We want to make everyone feel welcome here at Peace Lutheran Church. It is the greeter’s job to start that process with a smile, a good morning greeting, a handshake or a hug. If you are interested in serving on this ministry team, please contact the Church Office. VISITATION MINISTRY If you have a caring heart and God is moving you to visit the sick, or those in need, please call and contact the Church Office. PRAYER CHAIN MINISTRY This is a special Ministry that involves contacting all members of Peace Lutheran Church with the names of those needing prayers. If you would like to be a part of this Ministry Team, please contact the Church Office. FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS MINISTRY This ministry provides food, care and transportation for the sick and shut-ins. This is a great way to serve the Lord because serving people is serving God. Please contact the Church Office if you would like to serve. BRAILLE MINISTRY This ministry collates, staples, and sends out large print Bible material for the sight impaired. This is an excellent way to serve God. For more information in serving on this team, contact the Church Office. ACTIVITIES MINISTRY If you would like to be a part of this team to plan special activities for the congregation, and you are able to serve, please contact the Church Office. SPECIALIZED MINISTRIES If you are interested in being a church historian, bulletin board/designer, maintenance person, childcare provider during church, photographer or any other specialized ministry volunteer, please contact the Church Office. "Recycle for Him" MINISTRY Members of the congregation bring their aluminum cans, plastic bottles & glass to church. The material is then sorted and taken to the local Palm Desert Recycling Center for cash reimbursement. The Cash is then donated to one of our local Missions. Over $2,500 (in trash) has been donated since this ministry started in May, 2006.
